Hannah Deakins

My name is Hannah Deakins, and I graduated from Tusculum University in May 2024 with my Bachelor of Business Administration in Digital Marketing and Minored in Psychology. I was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee. I moved to Rhea County, Tennessee in middle school where I attended Rhea County High School. I played soccer at Tusculum and spent most of my time doing that. I may not yet have all of my professional goals sorted out, but I can't wait to work with students and make sure they realize their greatest potential while also just lending a helping hand and listening ear.

In terms of my personal life, I enjoy watching the Vols play and am a huge sports fan. I love to travel and ride on airplanes. My roommate has a dachshund who has quickly become my best friend, and I love to read and write. I enjoy hanging out with friends and going to church. I also can’t forget to mention that I love chocolate chip mint ice cream.  

I had amazing people in my life in high school and college who encouraged me to pursue my goals and helped me get a degree. The biggest influence on my life has been my mentor Betty Smith. I'll tell you a fun detail about myself: I was the first person in my family to attend college, so I fully value your confusion about where to begin and how to go about things. I feel blessed to have the chance to serve students now that I've been helped by others.
